Taking to the skies

Atlanta happened the way a lot of my decisions happen. We bought a condo over a weekend. I hired an MIT engineer who was smarter than I was, and the company suddenly had a kind of legitimacy I could not confer on it myself.

Hire someone smarter than you. He gave BMR Associates instant credibility and gave me bandwidth. Bandwidth is dangerous for an entrepreneur. It means something new is coming.

The something new was a twin-engine Piper Navajo. Show up on the tarmac at dawn in your own aircraft and you can diagnose a compressor train before lunch. Trinidad. The Rockies at night. This was not luxury. This was logistics.
